On a trip to the Hudson-LaPore house in Albuquerque in approximately 1996, I vividly remember playing Monopoly with our grandpa Bob and Austin, who was maybe five at the time. Austin destroyed both of us so thoroughly, in spite of the fact that he was five years my junior, that I dread playing Monopoly to this day because I'm afraid I will be shamed like Austin shamed me then.
Little did I realize I should have not attributed the loss to my inability but, rather, Austin's incredible intellect, even as a kindergartener. You win, Austin.
