To the Hudson-LaPore family,
Mike Linsell called me late this afternoon with the devastating news. I can assure you that we his 6th and 7th grade teachers are shocked and deeply shaken by his losing his life being true to himself, the curious young man he always was. I can assure you that we are or will be grieving for him and your family as we share this grief.
Austin was life personified. We have lost someone who gave himself to learning, and we will remember him for many, many great experiences together in the classroom, outdoors in nature, in the garden, and as was special about Austin, in our unique relationships with him. He was always there to learn and share: unassuming, curious, clear-headed, bright, humorous, and caring. His spirit has not only not been extinguished, but rises up in our hearts.
