i have many stories related to Austin's love of weather. Here are just a couple. As a 2 year old, whilst all the other kids were glued to blues clues on TV, Austin insisted on as much of the weather channel as we would allow him to watch. Many mornings he would catch up with what was going on across the US and if a particularly interesting weather front was coming through he would run through to the kitchen with all of his fingers stretched as far as they would go (his way of dealing with excitement) shouting 'THERE ARE EXTREME WEATHER WARNINGS IN 10 STATES!!!!!' or such like.
At around the age of 5 or 6 we were in Abq in the pool when a plane flew over with long contrails, Austin preceded to tell me that the air pressure up there was..... (EITHER) really high (OR) really low. i bracket this not because he didn't know but, because to this day i cant remember the answer! EVERY time i have seen a plane with long contrails since i have thought of Austin, no matter where in the world i have been. I would like to say that at 5 this was the first time he outsmarted me, but....!!!
