Although I don't know Austin, I read all of the the stories about him on Remembering Austin. They all made me cry because he seemed to be loved by some many people. He sounded like the epitome of a University of Chicago student: knowledgable, passionate, and kind. Reading all of these stories about him made me realize how life can be so beautiful and sad at the same time. Even though it pains me to hear about his death, he inspires me with his passion and makes me want to become like him. When I came to college, I became more cynical, but reading about all of these stories about Austin made me realize that there are good people like him. Rest in peace, Austin. Thank you for being you and sharing so many moments with your loved ones.
I also send my condolences to Austin's friends and family and hope that they will make sure to talk to someone through their difficulties.
