I didn't know Austin very well, just had a few classes with him. I remember him laughing good-naturedly as I struggled to figure out what was happening in a paper for our bio class. I was always struck with how enthusiastic he was about biochemistry. To those close to him: I am so sorry for your loss. He was an exceptional man, even to those who never got the chance to know him well.
